Batavia Stad en duurzaamheid
Step by step, Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet wants to create a more sustainable shopping environment for its visitors. With a shopping area of over 31,000 m2, we can make a major contribution to this. We do this by reducing and better separating our waste, using less water and consuming less energy, among other things. Moreover, we believe it is important to have a positive impact on our natural environment. For example, we are investing in richer biodiversity by planting fruit trees in and around the outlet and installing bird boxes and insect hotels.
At Batavia Stad, we let our visitors experience every day why we consider sustainability important. We do this by offering (local) partners and sustainable initiatives from our brands a platform. Moreover, with Lelystad NS railway station nearby and measures such as electric charging stations, we offer our guests a green travel alternative.
A sustainable experience also translates into a healthy, safe and accessible environment for our people. One example is the very wide path in the shopping center, with no narrowing, so that wheelchair users can visit us unimpeded. At Batavia Stad, we are committed to a culture where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. In doing so, we strive for a working and shopping environment that is inclusive and embraces diversity. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards discrimination.
DUURZAME DENIM SHOPPER
